GradedFolio respects your privacy. This page explains, in plain language, what data the app handles and why. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the app.
Your collection lives primarily on your own device. Stored locally:
This local data never leaves your device unless you turn on cloud sync (PRO) or create a share link.
PRO members create an account with an email address, username and password. Your password is stored only in an encrypted, unreadable form — we can never see or recover the original. A one-time recovery code is shown at sign-up; keep it safe, as it is the only way to reset your password.
If you enable cloud sync, your portfolio is securely backed up and kept in step across your devices. Data is encrypted while being sent and while stored, and only your authenticated account can access it. You can turn sync off at any time in Settings.
You can create a temporary link that shows your collection for 24 hours, then expires automatically. You choose whether prices are shown or hidden. While active, anyone with the link can view the shared items — no login required. Only share it with people you trust.
When you scan a card or request AI insights, the photo or a short summary is sent to a secure AI processing service purely to return a result to your device. Images are not kept after processing.
To show current values, the app fetches public listing data from eBay on demand — asking prices, sold prices, listing titles (for matching) and thumbnail images. This happens only when you search or refresh a price. GradedFolio is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by eBay.
The Shop section shows eBay listings through an affiliate program. If you buy after clicking a product, GradedFolio may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Links carry standard affiliate tags; nothing personal is shared beyond a normal web link click.
To understand how many people use the app and from which countries, we record a small amount of anonymous, aggregated usage data — such as page visits, approximate country (derived from your network, never your exact location), and basic device type. This data cannot be used to identify you personally and is never sold. We do not use advertising trackers.
PRO subscriptions are handled by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, acting as merchant of record. They process your payment securely; GradedFolio never sees or stores your card details.
All core portfolio features work offline. An internet connection is only needed to fetch prices, scan with AI, sync, or browse the Shop.
You can export everything as a file at any time from Settings, and permanently delete all local data there too. To delete a cloud account and its data, contact us at the address below.
The app is not intended for, and does not knowingly collect data from, children under 13.
Displayed values are estimates based on current listings, for information only. They are not guaranteed, may differ from real sale prices, and are not financial advice. You are responsible for any decisions you make.
